Yum! The cucumber and avocado soup sounds delicious! And that Mummy Museum and those underground tunnels sound like they'd make good backdrops in a Stephen King novel. I love that you travel to all these exotic and sometimes wild places. And that you enjoy going places that are clearly not tourist attractions. I didn't even know what, or where, Guanajuato was before reading today's MATs. And the pictures are fabulous! To quote the esteemed poet Rod Stewart, "Every picture tells a story."

It was a delicious soup, but a strange city for sure. It could be in a Stephen King novel! Thanks so much for reading and commenting! (Now that Rod Stewart song will be stuck in my head.)

I can almost taste that chilled cucumber and avocado soup right now from your description and my memories. It was divine. 🥰🥰🥰 And yes, thank goodness for my first officer on that trip. He was a life saver on many occasions through out the day. It was so lovely having you join me on that trip. You have such an adventurous spirit, and that was quite the adventurous day ❤️❤️❤️

What an interesting city to visit. Wonderful storytelling…especially stopping at the Mummy Museum. I know it’s not your cup of tea.

The food sounds delicious and love how you find the hidden gems. The chilled cucumber/avocado soup sounds scrumptious with the fresh basil. Farm to table foods.

A heartbreaking story about the Alley of the Kiss and the Mexican Romeo & Juliet.
