I love the pic of Mr. Snugs, the troubadour, and I'm so happy to hear the update on your next book. Very cool! I will say this about Beto: He showed tremendous courage yesterday, telling off the sitting TX governor who failed miserably to connect the dots between the terrible tragedy and horror in his own state with the obscene proliferation of guns there. Abbott has betrayed the sacred trust the voters put in him. Shame on him and his ilk. Your friend in TX is completely right about LBJ. He would hate what's going on in his once-great state. Beto reminds me a lot of RFK, who, had he lived, would very likely have been LBJ's successor. Finally I love what your friend in NOLA is doing to support first-responders. They, like Beto, are courageous and what is good in the big world out there. Cheers to that. I've missed your MATs but totally understand now, and I always look forward to the next installment.

Sneak attack photo! Lol. I love our afternoons playing tunes and enjoying the outdoors. It’s such a luxury! And Beto is an incredibly courageous human. That’s what we need right now. Can I also say that I’m incredibly proud of the progress you’re making on your second book? You’re amazing Mrs Snugs!! ❤️❤️❤️

A lot of good reading here.

And, to Beto, the future who will stand up for the people. I knew something happened, but wasn’t aware of what, because your Dad was chatty about it all day. He was so impressed with Beto.

At least your friend is in Austin, and is correct. What a state!

Glad you are back to these writings. They are very uplifting, truthful, strong, and give me hope. Most importantly, is to take care of you.

We love listening to WWOZ, we want to feel like we are in New Orleans. It gets me up and dancing. Glad we heard your friend being interviewed, such a good cause. We can all learn strength and compassion from one of the best cities, New Orleans, and their resilience to carry on, and always help each other.

Nice photo of Joel, and the Happy Valley.

To beautiful days ahead. ☀️ 🧺 🥗💚🌻

We moved back to Indiana from Texas last summer. One of my few regrets (because being a teacher in Texas is even worse than in Indiana) is that we won't be able to do our best to elect him governor. Texas is actually a purple state with deep red and deep blue pockets, but it's those deep red pockets that have the rest of the state in an iron grip. People are voting against their own interests and it is so frustrating to watch.

Thank you Jess.

I did not know about Beto’s former life- yet another reason to love him. We need more Betos …

I love the photo of Mr Snug. You two have created such a beautiful life together.

Keep singing and dancing and sharing your light in this sad world…💜
