On many of our adventures together, I recall being sick of all the churches/cathedrals and feeling a much deeper connection in the synagogues we’ve visited. I also wonder if cold weather was involved when Michelangelo sculpted The David... a particularly funny episode of Seinfeld comes to mind 😂😂😂

Yes in seriousness to part one of your comment. And yes, ha, in silliness to your second!

I love your empathy for the handful of kids who couldn't travel with your class, for whatever reasons. For me, who graduated from a high school class nearly 20 times the size of yours, it's a particularly interesting perspective. Nice reflections on Florence, which was one of my mother's favorite cities. I remember liking it a lot, too, though I was only 10 when I was there. But I sure remember the Duomo and the David. Very nice, and intriguing, Morning After Thoughts today!

Thank you, and like I said, maybe I am just too reflective and empathetic when it comes to the kids "left behind." I feel like I need to go back to Florence again, although it's not at the top of my priority list if and when I can travel again. Thanks for your thoughts and comment!

Engaging piece as your photographic memory kicks in. And, your thoughtfulness toward others shines through about the kids left behind.

That was quite the adventurous trip.
