SNUGFEST 2019! Wedding talk, part two. 032322
Today's going to be a little different here because it's my wedding anniversary aka SNUGFEST. What's on your mind this morning? Day 26!
I so hope next year it will be safe enough for us to have SNUGFEST 2023. It’s pretty unbelievable that so many friends over the last couple of years have become like strangers, and others have become well, family. Have you experienced something similar? It’ll be a much more intimate party, that’s for sure.
Joel (aka Mr. Snugs) and I watched the film from our wedding last night with my parents. It is two hours of pure happiness (plus a couple of drinking games with certain words repeatedly spoken and hand gestures repeatedly done). My biggest piece of advice for anyone planning a party is to have a documenter/videographer.
And now, another poem!
‘Twas the day of SNUGFEST three years ago
Sunshine all around and not a droplet of snow
The groom was getting ready with all of his crew
And the best officiant award goes to Christopher Prew
The bride and her entourage are happy as can be
How could they not with that bright lighted SNUGFEST 2019 Calvin Theatre marquee
And special thanks goes out to the “first look” planning by Sara and Megan Bronleewe
Michael Culhane, Miriam Sirota, and Peter Sikowitz are in the joint
They all perform “first” songs with incredible point
The Spring day was documented by Paul Shoul and Tom Adams
For without them some moments may have been forgotten
The Glad Machine kept the Hotel Northampton rockin all night
For the dance party was nowhere nearing an end in sight
Janis and David Sokol sure know how to party right
“That was the best music fest wedding we’ve ever seen!” The guests say
And this is thanks to an ending performance by the one and only Mal Thursday
The bride and groom happily exhausted yet awake
Go up to their room and eat some Greggory's Pastry Shop vegan cake
Happy SNUGFEST anniversary! Here’s to one in 2023.
From sex and family drama to work woes and hangovers, what's on your mind first thing in the morning? Welcome to a safe space to reflect light on three things and share in comments. Happy reading, writing, and connecting!
Cheers,
Jess
