Saturday Books! (I know, it's afternoon again.)
What's on your mind first thing in the morning? Welcome to a space to reflect light on three things from the night before. From sex and family drama to work woes and hangovers. Day eight.
My parentals popped over yesterday with a couple of gifts pictured above! I have been a fan of Suleika for a couple of months now after my beautiful Aunt Jojo gifted me a subscription to Suleika’s Isolation Journals. And I’ve been a fan of Chuck Klosterman since Sex, Drugs, and Cocoa Puffs. Highly looking forward to these reads, thank you mom and dad! (Also, where is my phone from high school that was that?!) What are all you gems reading these days?
I heard from a dear friend who I went to school with in Dublin, and is originally from Russia. We are texting, and she has been constantly on my mind. I cannot wait to fully phone chat with her when she’s ready, and that this nightmare ends soon.
I woke up with this thought that a friend said to me the other night, “Everybody has something to say about everybody.” I sort of chuckled when she said it, but it’s so true, and we can take that any sort of way, right?
Still in bed? I don’t blame you. Let’s hear from you. Happy reading, writing, and connecting! Happy Saturday.
Cheers,
Jess
Very nice Day 8 MATs! Re your friend's quote, I used to have this saying at work: "Everybody has an opinion about everything." Which is okay as long as everyone treats each other with respect. Enjoy the books! I hope to delve into The Nineties soon and look forward to comparing notes.
