Like many people throughout the pandemic, I certainly did my share of binge-watching tv shows. Lately, I’m all about the movies, and I highly recommend these in no particular order.
Vengeance on Prime where B.J. Novak does it all. I’m not sure if this will be a popular one, but I thought it was brilliant. It’s much deeper than the trailer, trust me. And the first scene has the best cameo, 100 percent.
Bros on Peacock. This had Mr. Snugs and me laughing for hours! (There may have been edibles involved, but I think it’ll make you lol even without that.)
She Said on Peacock. A must-watch about the The New York Times journalists that exposes sexual abuse allegations against Harvey Weinstein. The story also serves as a launching platform for #MeToo.
Mrs. Harris Goes to Paris on Peacock. A heartwarming flick all around. (Especially if you appreciate fashion, specifically in the 1940s House of Christian Dior.)
Have you seen them? I’d love to know your thoughts and/or what films you’ve recently enjoyed. Happy Tuesday, friends.
We saw Mrs. Harris Goes to Paris in the theater. Really enjoyable film with BEAUTIFUL clothes!
Just saw another good one this weekend: A Man Called Otto based on Fredrick Backman’s novel, A Man Called Ove, which I loved.
Ooo we watched the original Mrs Harris (with Angela Landsbury!) all the time growing up and loved it! I’ve been curious but hesitant to watch the remake because you never know how it’ll hold up to an old favorite but I keep hearing good things.
Vengeance and She Sajd have been on the list but I’m officially moving them up in the queue!
