Pamela, Italy, and Lutey 031022
From sex and family drama to work woes and hangovers, what's on your mind first thing in the morning? Welcome to a safe space to reflect light on three things and share. Here we go! Day 13.
Did you watch Pam and Tommy on Hulu? I read that Pam never gave her consent for the show to be done, but yet I watched it. I was totally intrigued, and I didn’t even realize the finale was last night until it happened. I thought it was well-done, the makeup artists did an insane job, but I felt particularly grimy afterward. Have I watched the tape? No. Will I? Hard no.
One of my close friends is gallivanting in Italy right now. I’m happy for him, yet jealous I cannot travel at this time. He sent me photos from an Israeli restaurant menu yesterday, and I told him to get the fried artichokes. (And the hummus and the falafel.) When he sent me the picture of the fried artichoke, I may have teared up swooning over his plate. It was beautiful.
Thursday will always be “Lutey Day” to me. Our sweet family pooch, Lutey, passed two months ago at the age of 95 (in human years). What a fluffy and wonderful trooper! Throughout the pandemic, it didn’t matter what the weather was, the number of masks we had to wear, or the snow inches outside, my husband and I sat in a garage social-distancing with my parents to see them, and of course, Lutey, on Thursdays. I’m thankful after the humans got vaxxed we could all spend time with each other inside. To Lutey today, and every single day.
So what’s on your mind this morning? Even if you’re still in bed, share in the comment section your own Morning After Thoughts, and then together we can all move forward with our day. Happy reading, writing, and connecting!
Cheers,
Jess
I will always treasure our gatherings during the Pandemic and especially Lutey being with us, always. That little face. I miss her so. Here’s to us, The Three Musketeers, traveling together again. I just read that Pamela Anderson will be debuting on Broadway, playing Roxie Hart, in Chicago. 💚
That Lutey face! ❤️❤️❤️ And my morning thought this morning… Not today Satan (when the alarm went off) and then I pushed snooze and snuggled back in. 🥰😂
