On this day in 2020, well, it was the last time I saw a lot of friends. 031422.
From sex and family drama to work woes and hangovers, what's on your mind first thing in the morning? Welcome to a safe space to reflect light on three things and share. Here we go, day 17.
I remember March 14, 2020, as I remember most historic dates. It was my last night of socializing at a Saint Paddy’s Party before the world pretty much shut down. The next day was my last trip to a store to this day. It’s shocking and confusing how two years went by the way they did, how many people changed for the worst, and my heart is still breaking from it all.
The wildest part of the last two years is that I started living with my husband for the first time. Even though we’d known each other for almost a decade, had been dating for many years, and were married for a year, we had never actually lived together. It’s something that positively came out of this.
And living with Joel (Mr. Snugs) brings many emotions to mind, and sometimes lots of giggles. He said to me last night, “James Van Der Beek is the type of pudgy muscular I like.” How do I even respond to such a thing without a chuckle?
What’s on your mind this morning? Even if you’re still in bed, share in the comment section your own Morning After Thoughts, and then together we can all move forward with our day. Happy reading, writing, and connecting!
Cheers,
Jess
Wow... two years! I really appreciate your positive attitude. These past 104 weeks have been harder for you than for a lot of people, but there are silver linings and your Hadley Field 2020 photo shows hope for the future. And, um, who's James Van Der Beek?
