Hump Day Reflection Edition 030922
From sex and family drama to work woes and hangovers, what's on your mind first thing in the morning? Welcome to a safe space to reflect light on three things and share. Here we go! Day 12.
This was my five-year pop-up memory this morning on FB. My family had a dance party and certainly celebrated International Women’s Day in 2017 with a bang!
Speaking of International Women’s Day, yesterday I plowed through the Winter issue of Creative Nonfiction magazine. The article, “The Secret History of Creative Nonfiction” by Kelly Plante, is a fascinating piece focusing on women pioneers in the art of creative nonfiction who conveniently got neglected by critics starting in the 1600s. Madame de La Fayette, Aphra Behn, Eliza Haywood, Mary Wollstonecraft, and Leonora Sansay to name a few.
And speaking of plowing, it’s snowing like crazy here in Western MA today! Nice big flakes, an afternoon to stay snuggled in if you can, even if you’re working.
So what’s on your mind this morning? Even if you’re still in bed, share in the comment section your own Morning After Thoughts, and then together we can all move forward with our day. Happy reading, writing, and connecting!
Cheers,
Jess
