Friday "sort of" means something now
What's on your mind first thing in the morning? Welcome to a space to reflect light on three things from the night before. From sex and family drama to work woes and hangovers. Day seven.

Since March 2020, my husband and I have not been able to work. Joel (aka Mr. Snugs) did recently get a full-time job working from home that started last week! The weekend isn’t just that musician anymore. (I know, spelled differently, but I feel a kitchen dance party coming on soon.)
Thank you to the gems who called me out on my reflection yesterday regarding my high school reunion. It’ll obviously be 20 years since I graduated high school, not 10. Oy, my brain.
My parents came over last night for some vegan corn dogs and salad. (Balanced meal, yes!) This conversation about getting rid of Dad’s pair of holey jeans took place between them.
Dad- “I want to keep them, I love them. I like to mow the lawn in them."
Mom- “We need to buy you a new pair to mow the lawn in. What do the neighbors think?!”
Dad- “Ya know, I might not even mow the lawn again. I may just hire someone.”
Mom- “Then why you need the fuckin pants?!”
Dad- “OMG, you sound just like Leon from Curb Your Enthusiasm!”
Truthfully I think my mom would rather be called Susie, but I’m still laughing. I hope you all have a good weekend in your distressed denim.
Even if you’re still in bed, let’s hear from you, and then together we can all move forward with our day. Happy reading, writing, and connecting.
Cheers,
Jess
I live your parents! I’ve been trying to take a break from social media and this is the thing I was missing. I love getting to read these after thoughts. Thank you 😘
Disclaimer: Although The Weeknd was referenced, he was not listened to last night. This MAT has me LOLing! ❤️❤️
