From sex and family drama to work woes and hangovers, what's on your mind first thing in the morning? Welcome to a space to reflect light on three things from the night before.
Let's connect and share. Day one.
My husband, Joel, and I hosted a family Zoom last night just to “be together.” It went as my father said, “On balance, really good!” There were 15 of us in attendance, a pretty good turnout! We talked about my grandmother, books, and projects we are working on. I find myself (unsurprisingly) this morning let down by my brother when it comes to care and communication.
As I watch the party video that my husband and I made at 2 am of us singing, guitar-strumming, and penny-whistling to Taylor Swift at our self-made pellet stove bar, I don’t think we should go on tour anytime soon.
What should I make for lunch today? Red lentils perhaps?
Even if you’re still in bed, let’s hear from you, and then together we can all move forward with our day. Happy reading, writing, and connecting.
Cheers,
Jess
